The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, on Friday, visited former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, ahead of his defection to the ruling party, from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Oshiomhole arrived Kano, alongside other members of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the APC, and headed for the home of Shekarau. He was accompanied by the Kano State Governor, Umar Ganduje.
According to Salihu Tanko Yakasai, the Media Aide of Ganduje, a crowd welcomed Oshiomhole to the residence of Shekarau.
Twitter handle, @dawisu, said that the meeting was ahead of Shekarau’s defection, which will happen on Saturday, 7th September, 2018.
Recall, that Shekarau had earlier declared his intention to contest for the 2019 Presidency, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before later leaving the party
